I just started using a VPN from PureVPN that installed software on my machine to make all of my TCP-IP connections using SSTP. When I launched Thunderbird I immediately got sent a security alert from gmail and outlook which required me to login to their web sites and confirm that I was the person on the other side of the country that had logged in.
Currently I'm using Thunderbird version 38.5.1 on a Mac. Ive recently started to use a Paid VPN ( Private Internet Access ) and as soon as I start Thunderbird and it starts downloading any gmail messages , I get a warning that my password may be compromised ( some one has your password ) .
